Listed below are some of the regular questions we get from our customers that will help you with your online shopping experience with PSA.
Bulk Orders:
Q: Can we purchase bulk and receive wholesale prices?
A: Any Guard, stake, RainCatcherMat, Fibre mat over 300 units are classed as bulk order. You will need to follow the link (here) to our bulk order page to receive a quotation including shipping.
Guards:
Q: Can I buy just 10 guards?
A: We pack our guards into packs of 50 when we manufacture them for ease of setting them up in the field, scales of economy and time saved in the warehouse counting 1000’s of guards. To split a pack would cost you more to purchase and countless hours for our staff to count them individually. Long story short, No.
Stakes:
Q: Can I use my own stakes?
A: Yes and NO. The stakes that go with the guards you have purchase take a very snug fitting rectangular 23mm X 13mm hardwood stake that is arrised for a smooth finish. Using any other stake like a square stake will compromise the integrity of the coreflute and we can not guarantee the guard when other size stakes are used. If you have purchased stakes from us before, then please reuse them.
Local Delivery:
Q: What is the cost of the local delivery and where exactly do you deliver too?
A: A flat rate of $120 will apply to your order when selecting this shipping option. This covers from one box to a pallet. We deliver weekly to Comma (CBD), Canberra (CBD and Suburbs) Queanbeyan (CBD), Bungendore CBD, Braidwood CBD, From Batemans Bay to Bega along the Princess Highway and all towns in-between within the CBD’s.
Service
Our delivery service is run by Sapphire Coast Transport (SCT) as a point to point service. SCT will collect orders by 5pm on Wednesdays and delivery Thursdays to your door with in your town (CBD) locality. SCT will not and can not go off unsealed roads at the drivers discretion. SCT will call you prior to delivery to ensure you home or at the prearranged drop off point (DOP) along the route.
Definition
CBD : Central business district with in your town limits.
DOP : If you live out of town SCT will work out with you a prearranged drop off point in town to meet you at. Please keep in mind that time is of the essence with transport and you will need to be on time or arrange a redelivery at your cost should you fail show up within a reasonable time frame.
Australia Post Shipping:
Q: If I feel my shipping price in the shopping cart is a little expensive, can we get a review?
A: Absolutely, Our online store is connected to live to Australia Post (our freight partner). Your shipping price is determined by your location, weight and size of the items you ordered. Generally the fertiliser, fibre mats and the All Rounder guards are more expensive to ship.
Q: Australia Post didn’t ship our order to our door but left it at the post office to pickup.
A: That’s out of our hands unfortunately, each Australia post store in country towns are privately owned and the Aust Post contractors may elect not to deliver past the letter box in rural areas.
Q: Why cant you send my order from the online store with Fedex or TNT to a private address?
A: We can and we do. If you come back to us for a shipping review we can quote you a price to ship via TNT or Fedex. Here is why we don’t link TNT or Fedex to our online store for residential delivery. When we receive the quote from TNT or Fedex to a residential site thats not the final price. As soon as the private contractor (usually out side capital cities) collects it for delivery they can put back onto our bill even after the quoted price is agreed to and confirmed 5-7 extra charges like (Manual handling fees, Residential delivery fees, Unable to deliver fee if your not home, Re-delivery fee, Depot holding fee). For example if your quoted price is $150 to deliver, the extra costs and add up to $40 to $90 extra plus GST.
Q: Is it cheaper to get my order sent via TNT or Fedex to a Business address?
A: Yes: If the business address is in the CBD, has an unloading area and a forklift to unload. If you have access to a business that can handle your delivery then ask us how we can make your order cheaper?
Q: Is it cheaper to have my order help at a TNT Depot for me to pickup when it arrives.
A: Absolutely. We will send you the tracking details to follow the consignment. Once it lands at the depot location you have 5 business days or it will be sent back to us at your expense. Then sent back again for you to collect at your own expense.
